Biography:

I am an Associate Independent Clinical Licensed Social Worker (LSWAIC). I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. Counseling is a second career for me. Before becoming a social worker, I worked in healthcare caring for and supporting vulnerable adults to improve their quality of life and live their best lives. Since becoming a social worker, I have worked with adults of all ages in acute care inpatient settings and also in outpatient settings as a medical social worker.

My approach to practice is client-centered and collaborative. I recognize that each person is unique, and so, deserves treatment that is specially tailored to their uniqueness and strengths. I draw from evidence-based modalities like CBT, and DBT, but will collaborate with you to find the best fit for you to meet your goals and needs. My goal is to be a therapist who meets people where they are and to create a safe space where they feel heard and understood.

I am passionate about working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences especially those who are marginalized and underserved communities like Black, Indigenous, People of Color, (BIPOC), immigrants and refugees, and LGBTQ+ individuals. I use a culturally sensitive, strength-based, anti-oppressive practice and celebrate our uniqueness as humans.

I am excited to meet you and work with you to meet your goals and needs. I am available through telehealth (online).
