Biography:

Welcome! I’m Jenna Service and I use she/they pronouns. I believe that therapy is a transformative process that can help people work through their unique goals and give a better understanding of the self. Mental health is non-linear, so it's important to work through in an open-minded, judgement-free space.

I am a Licensed Clinical Independent Associate Social Worker with a Masters Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Community Centered Integrative Practice. My professional journey has included working in elementary schools, nonprofit organizations and correctional facilities. Each of these experiences shaped my understanding of mental health within the context of systems and experiences. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to help my clients achieve their personal goals and enhance their well-being.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in relationships, radical acceptance, empathy, respect, and collaboration. I strive to create a safe non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard and supported. I lead with the biopsychosocial perspective which highlights the importance of understanding the self through body, mind, and community and understanding the broader socio-cultural contexts affecting well-being. To maintain trauma informed care I find it essential to understand systems of oppression and how they influence individual mental health. I use a combination of CBT, DBT, Mindfulness Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy to tailor treatments to each client’s individual needs and goals.

Outside of work I love relaxing outside with a good (or not so good) book, drawing, journaling, camping, and connecting with my community.

I was struggling with my anxiety and depression and I wasn’t sure what to do. After searching all over Seattle I finally came across Seattle Wellness Center. Their staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating to my needs. I could not thank them enough for everything they have done.
