How Do I Start Therapy?

Simply call our office or fill out our online form, and one our friendly support staff will contact you about setting up your first consultation with one of Seattle Wellness Center’s therapists.

How long does a session last?

Sessions are generally 55 minutes.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept most kinds of insurance. We will call and confirm your benefits, submit claims, and follow up on claims until they are completed.

What hours are available?

There are therapists available 8:00 am to 8:00 pm 5 days a week and sessions available on Saturdays by appointment.

How often and for how long should I do Therapy?

All clients progress at different rates, and people’s goals in therapy are not always the same from person to person, or family to family. Several factors influence how long therapy lasts, including the number and complexity of issues; level of commitment and motivation to making a change; and decisions about what specifically you want to accomplish in your time here.

Our intention is to help people develop and utilize their own skills and knowledge so that in the long run therapy isn’t necessary anymore!

While some programs stretch out therapy in order to keep a high caseload, our intent is to be goal-oriented and brief, with targeted strategies for getting important life goals accomplished for our clients.

What is your cancellation policy?

It is our policy to charge for appointments that are not canceled 24 hours in advance and for appointments that are not kept. Insurance does not pay for missed appointments. We charge $100 for missed appointments, and appointments canceled without a 24 hour notice. No exceptions. Your charge will be applied to your credit card on file.

For example: If your session is scheduled for 4:00PM on Wednesday, you must cancel or reschedule no later than 4:00PM on Tuesday to avoid the $100.00 charge.
