For some, it can be exhausting having to live between cultures, identities, generations, or even systems that were not designed for them. I want to offer a space for you to take a step back and breathe.
Hello, and welcome! My name is Evy Zavala (They/Them). I'm a Queer Latine therapist who is passionate about working with individuals navigating anxiety/depression, identity, and life transitions. Populations I specialize in include queer and trans youth/young adults, BIPOC, and immigrant communities.
My professional and lived experiences inform my approach in providing a welcoming and safe environment for my clients to thrive. I have worked in community mental health supporting marginalized adults in navigating systems, fostering resilience, and encouraging community-building skills.
In my practice, I utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that takes into account your lived experiences. I use evidence-based practices such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing. I also draw from Feminist Theory to help clients examine how ongoing oppressive systems impact the way we show up in the world.
Therapy with me is collaborative and focuses on moving at your own pace. Together, we'll further build on the strengths you already have to manage symptoms and develop coping skills. The space we build together will allow room for you to grow, laugh, and grieve.
Starting therapy can be scary, but in my practice, I strive to create a safe and affirming space where you can fully express yourself. Expressing yourself in therapy can include showing me your art, the current media you are consuming, and/or what has been on your mind!
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cat, Dolly, going to art markets, attending women's hockey games, and drinking specialty matchas + eating desserts around the city!

I was struggling with my anxiety and depression and I wasn’t sure what to do. After searching all over Seattle I finally came across Seattle Wellness Center. Their staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating to my needs. I could not thank them enough for everything they have done.
